Client testimonials

A year ago my now wife and I began the search for a wedding location in my home state of Michoacan. We knew that we wanted two things, and outdoor scene and a place with a unique touch, something that our guests and us would remember forever. The experience was amazing and it truly exceeded our expectations, I'm sure that there are many places that offer a great service with impeccable installations, but what sets this place apart from the others is that on top of the excellent service and first class installations, the unique natural scenery and rich local history are tough to beat.

What a wonderfully pleasant surprise! The pictures on the website, although nice, do not come close to conveying how nice this hotel is, both inside and out. The service is everything you would expect from a top quality boutique property. The peace and tranquility of this place is amazing and the lake views are incredible.

We found this little piece of heaven browsing the internet. We wanted something near Morelia, since it has such a rich cultural offer. Their website soon attracted my attention. It appeared to be a simple but yet luxurious and comfortable place. I was skeptic about their wonderful pictures. Trust me, Photoshop will never match the breathtaking views and spectacular scenery of Hacienda Ucazanaztacua. We'd like to thank everyone at the Hacienda. We will definitely go back!

My husband and I spent 1 night at this beautiful hotel on our way to the beach. We wish we had stayed longer. It is a beautiful boutique hotel, the rooms are tastefully decorated with local crafts and each room has a large closet area. The bathrooms are unique and each has a jacuzzi. The view of the lake is breathtaking. Dinner was served on the patio with the sunset over the mountains. The food was delicious and was mostly recipes of the Purepeches, the local population. We were treated like royalty. This hotel is truly a hidden gem. We can't wait to return.

“One of the world's best boutique hotels by the lake of Patzcuaro”. We ventured to book this hotel after visiting its website. We found that the hotel is even better than what you can see on the internet. The location by the side of the lake is superb in a very quiet and peaceful spot(...)

“It's unique with a warmly athmosphere. We felt like in a paradise”. If you go to mexico you definitivly have to visit the hacienda in Ucazanaztacua. This is the real paradise, where you can relax, visit the nice island by boat, eat good food. Enjoy your life by spending a nite in this hacienda.(...)

“What a Wonderfully Pleasant Surprise”. We have vacationed in Mexico many times and for a number of years have been wanting to visit the Lake Pátzcuaro area. On our recent Mexico trip we finally made it there. When we planned our visit we wanted to find a place to stay that was well located for day trips to the many beautiful small artisan villages that surround the lake. We also wanted someplace small, peaceful, preferably right on the lake, and with an unassuming and understated quality common to boutique hotels(...)

My wife and I recently traveled from Zihuatanejo to the Hacienda for an evening in the mountains. From the moment we entered the Hacienda, we knew we had found something unique and special. The general area and the Hacienda in particular are incredibly beautiful. As an avid photographer, if found it to be one of the more interesting and photogenic places I have ever been, from dawn to sunset. This is truly a place for contemplation and relaxation. Apart from the atmosphere, the amenities are luxurious- from a cappuccino maker in your room, to a whirlpool bath, and a king size bed with incredible breezes and view. This was truly a once in a lifetime experience that we hope to have the opportunity to repeat.
